A couple that we got to know (who have lived in India, Nepal, Bolivia, DC and now Bridgewater, Va.) told us that they used to bury something whenever they moved from a place. So we buried this little pot. Anuraj used it as a "talking piece" when he was teaching at Bridegwater College, and I hated it when it rolled around the trunk of the station wagon! (Good riddance . . . to the pot. Sad to leave Harrisonburg.)
